The CIP Networks Library currently includes the following network specification editions:
- Volume One: Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) Specification
- Volume Two: EtherNet/IP Adaptation of CIP
- Volume Three: DeviceNet Adaptation of CIP
- Volume Four: ControlNet Adaptation of CIP
- Volume Five: CIP Safety Specification
- Volume Six: CompoNet Adaptation of CIP
- Volume Seven: Integration of Modbus Devices into the CIP Architecture
The volumes are grouped together to provide complete network specifications. The complete network specifications are available on an annual subscription basis – allowing vendors and users to stay informed about the latest capabilities from these significant network technologies. A subscription to the complete specification for a given network technology, among other items, is required to become an Authorized Vendor for a given network technology.
